Imagine you wanted your home decorated with a clown theme. What kind of furniture will you put in? While you’ll likely have a hard time finding furniture with the same goofy and campy theme as a circus funny man, these Cones should make choosing your poufs and ottomans just a little bit easier.
Designed by Jule Waibel, it’s a set of poufs that use folded wood felt, making them look like the ruffs you will see draped around the necks of traditional clowns. Seriously, put a Joker mask on top of this and tell me it doesn’t look like a clown wearing the most awesome ruff ever.
Jule describes Cones as “unfolded seats,” as she uses them to play with the idea of “unfolding a stone.” Yes, I know, a stone cannot be unfolded, but the poufs do take on the shape of a boulder and has folds all over, so if stones had skin and you can fold them (or if you had the tools and patience to carve them the same way), we’re guessing this is how they’ll look like.
All the folds, by the way, are designed to have a pointed pinnacle on top, so you can feel like you’re being poked when you plop down one. Don’t worry, it’s made soft wool felt with a plush and comfortable material inside, so it’s not going to hurt even a little bit.
No word on manufacturing plans, but you can check out more pictures of the Cones directly from the designer’s website.
