Wald Plug Lamp Anchors Directly Onto A Wall Outlet

Just like floor lamps, the Wald Plug Lamp holds a bulb at a moderately tall height, subtly illuminating a space without having to make any permanent installations in the house. Unlike them, it doesn’t take up any floor space, anchoring itself on the wall outlet itself.

Manufactured by Feltmark, the lamp consists of a rigid stem in a “J” shape with an electrical plug on the short end and the lighting hardware on the other. All cables are concealed inside the tube, freeing the whole thing from any mess of wires.

The Wald Plug Lamp comes in two lengths: 2 feet and 3 feet, which should set the light bulb at heights of at least 3 feet (a side table height that’s ideal for bedrooms) and 4 feet (for properly illuminating a living room), respectively, once plugged into a wall outlet. The stem can be rotated from the plug, so it can be positioned at an angle, as well as used in horizontally-mounted wall outlets. While the socket is connected directly to the stem, it comes with a wooden cover (with built-in switch) to obscure the lighting hardware and give the piece a slightly more decorative accent. Construction is bent anodized aluminum for the stem, with two finish options, livid blue and olive drab. Each one is handmade.
